October Art Roundup: Treat Yo' Self With Ice Cream, Mermaids, & Cuckoo Clocks!

Time for my monthly roundup of favorite art finds!

The artist known simply as "Jesi" calls her work "quirky art for happy hearts." And is it ever:

Even her prints are on real wood!
Did I mention most of her art is based on puns?

Then there's this Stranger Things inspired pin:
Ermergosh so many favorites.  Head to Jesi's Etsy shop for loads more, and follow her on Instagram for give-aways and lots of behind-the-scenes eye candy.

Next up, these stunners by Nen Chang:

 Lady Mechanika!

::drool:: Her giclee prints start at $40. Head to Nen's online shop for more.

I'm not generally a skull-and-creepiness kinda gal when it come to art, but I saw some of Andy Swartz's work in person at Dragon Con, and wow is it gorgeous:

Most prints are $25 each. Head over to the Skull Garden Etsy shop to see the rest!

I'm totally crushing on Gawki's colors and soft fantasy style:

Smitten. I am smitten. Her prints start at $12, plus she has some adorable sticker options, so go see!

Marisol Spool had a big framed version of this mermaid at her booth for Dragon Con, and it. was. GORGEOUS.

In addition to her sweet girls-with-animals-on-their-heads style, Spoon also had THE most spectacular Cuckoo Clocks on display. That's right, I said Cuckoo Clocks:

Whimsical, fantasy-style Cuckoo Clocks. Hnnnng.

Head to Spoon's website for everything from bookmarks to lockets to clocks, and where her prints start at $18.

 *****

Now, let's give some stuff away!

Comment below to enter for a chance to win your choice of free art from my Pinterest Art Give-Away Board - internationals welcome. In addition to one "wild card" winner, I'll also be choosing two MORE of you to win these:

Both are original pieces of art, not prints, so if you like either/both be sure to tell me in your comment, so I can enter you in those drawings, too. [Note: You may not see your comment post right away, but it'll go through in a moment, so please only comment once! I get a lot of duplicates. :)]

I'll announce the 3 randomly selected winners in a few days. Happy commenting!

UPDATE: The give-away has ended!

The winner of "Discord With A Q" is Jeanna Hensley
The winner of Beauty & the Beast is Jennifer Suchman
And my wild card winner is Katie with the blog Katie & Kevin Get Married!
Congrats, you three, and please e-mail me your mailing addresses!

  1. All of the art is magnificent! I think I might have to buy a cuckoo clock. I grew up with a couple that my grandfather had built (he was a watchmaker/clockmaker/jeweler). I'd love to be in the beauty and the beast drawing pot, please.

  2. I love all the things! Lovely girl with octopus on head? Oh my yes! I'd love to own "Treasure Hunt" or "Tiki Birds" or the Victorian girl with TARDIS. So much wonderful art! As always, thanks for sharing with us.

  3. Great round up!

Enter ne for the Beauty & the Beast by Locoduck and the wild card please! :-)

  4. Is it weird to enter on behalf of another Epbot reader? One of the Facebots over in the Facebook group was asking for inexpensive ideas to decorate the elementary school library where she's librarian. That "Treasure Hunt" painting piece would be fantastic in a library! I don't need more art when I haven't hung up what I already have, but if we're allowed to enter for someone else, I'd like to put my name in for her. I'm sure if she won, that I could get her to DM me her address....

  24. OMG, I discovered Nen Chang at Boston Comic-Con this summer, where she was painting the lady floating with the fish live at her booth! (And, confession, I bought one of her prints, had it framed, and get to go pick it up on my way home from work, yay!) Love, love love her style, and she was awesome to chat with!

Speaking of wonderful artists that I met at BCC, aside from meeting several artists who've previously been featured on Epbot, you should totally check out Bianca Roman-Stumpff (@ArtOfBianca, biancaart.storenvy.com/products). My con companion and I made friends with Bianca, stopping by her booth every day of the con! (And taking home a bunch of art....)
