Maker Spotlight: BioShock Munny Mod

I love art, and I love artists who put their own spin on characters I already know and love. So when that artist is a geek, things *really* get cool.

Like so:

This little Big Daddy (gotta love that contradiction) is the work of InkyMcStapleFace, who, in addition to having a user name that made me guffaw, is a rockin' geek girl with some mad Munny-modding skills. (For those unfamiliar, Munnys are art dolls used pretty extensively in the art world as modifiable blank canvases.)

And it gets better: Big Daddy lights up!

How's that for an awesome night light?

And because every Mr. Bubbles needs his own little sister:

Creeeeepy.

Yep, I'm already having flashbacks of bathroom stall ambushes and those horrifying, invincible doorways. Someday, doors, I'll find a way to get through you.

Anyway, here's a final shot of Inky, giving her creation a cuddle:

Awwww.

Go check out all of her in-process shots here, and a big thanks to my fav blog SuperPunch for the link!

  4. OMG! BS and BS2 are my absolute favorite games of all time! I totally understand those scary bathroom splicer moments! I also loved your pictures of all the BS cosplayers. *swoon* How I would love to have one of these on my shelf, too: http://www.amazon.com/NECA-Bioshock-Figure-Little-Sisters/dp/B003FYICX0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1302637673&sr=8-2

  5. Hold me back. Keep me away from Google. I do NOT need to know where to buy munnys.

    That is truly awesome.

  11. I thought the same thing, Costume Girl! I was also reminded of Tik Tok from Return to Oz, like Rachel said.

Oh man, those Scooby Doo ones are great! Notice Shaggy's eyes in the Kim Kardashian one!

I seconded the request for Betty White and Pee-wee Herman. I also posted my own requests. Unfortunately I can't remember all of what I wrote, but it was a small list, including Conan O'Brien, Hugh Hefner, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dr. Who, Woody Harrelson, and Michael Vick. Shaggy and Scooby could get Vick so high on Scooby Snacks they could toss him into any random swamp they come upon and leave him to drown.
