Free Epbot Pins!

Just a quick reminder for any of you coming to see me on the Wreck the Halls tour this next month: be sure to ask me for an Epbot pin! I didn't make enough to announce that I have them at the actual event, so this will just be our little secret, mmkay? Oh, and try to catch me earlier rather than later, since I expect I'll run out pretty quickly each show. If you get there early you'll find me lurking around looking awkward while John sets up. :)

See you tonight, Charlotte! (And for everyone else, the rest of the tour line-up is here.)

UPDATE: I hear your cries, non-tour-attendees! So how about this: you send me a small self-addressed, stamped envelope (
two stamps should do it
, I think), [Correction: four stamps, please!] and I'll send you a free Epbot pin. Deal?

Send your envelopes to: P.O. Box 160537, Altamonte Springs, FL, 32716, and I'll get to it when I can. So, you know, sometime before Christmas. :D

  3. ARGH there's no possible way for me to make any of the shows and I want a pin! :( :( :(

  4. Why didn't you say something before Atlanta! I would have requested one! Waaah!

  5. Wow those are awesome. I'm still bummed about the Montreal change of plans. I hadn't RSVPed because I'm afraid of commitment, but we were planning on going. Can't make Ottawa though, I already looked into it. Maybe next tour! Have fun! :)

  6. I'm so sad to be missing this event! My folks live near Charlotte and I'll be visiting them in less than two weeks!!! Arghhh, I wish I could come!!

  7. WAIT! I want an Epbot pin to make up for the fact that you're not coming ANYWHERE NEAR the Pacific, and I live in Washington state! I would also accept a baby carrot jockey as reparation for this horrible affrontery, by-the-way.

  8. Oh man , I would love one, nut, you aren't coming to the west coast. :-(

  9. Man, I want one, and there's no way I can come to one of your stops. Wish there was some way I could come, or at least get one of the pins.. so want to go!!! Sob, cry...

  10. Can't wait!!!

  11. I would just like to say "ditto" to all the sad comments about you not coming out west. I am now even more sad because I will not get a pin :( Let the guilt trip begin.

  12. As a pin-collector I'm super excited about these! :):):) You're really nice about giving things away!

  13. Aww man. I wish I could make it to one of the other stops since the Memphis spot was canceled. I'd love one of those buttons. Oh well.

    I'll catch you sometime!

  14. I agree with Diana! I even talked to John in Atlanta and said that I was an Epbot fan. Dang!!

  15. Just another reason I am sad your closest stop is 3 hours away from me. Have a blast though!

  16. All right. How much do you want for one of those buttons. I went to the fateful Austin one years ago (when I lived in Austin), but I'm in Seattle now, and thus have no chance of getting one. So, $20? $30? Name your price you tantalizing temptress.

  17. woot woot! 11/11/11 needs to get here soon--I'm so glad you're giving Dallas another chance!! Now if only I could decide which cake I'm going to Wreckplicate... :P

  18. Awe, I wants one. :( Your tours always skip Ohio and Michigan though.

  19. Thanks so much! I love love love the pin! Had a wonderful time, thanks again!!!

  20. You have no idea how glad I am to see this post. I just arrived home from Charlotte. The first thing I said to my friends when we left the mall and got in the van was,"Was it really rude of me to beg for an Epbot button?" It was great to meet you and John, enjoy some fun wreck stories, eat cake, get my books signed, and get a picture with you. Thanks for being so cool with the fans. It is probably a good thing my bashful side emerged since I felt the urge to hug you like I do an old friend. Later I was thinking how funny it was that I felt that way. We all know you, but you don't know us...I'm sure it's terrifying to be met by total strangers with a hug. Anyway, thanks for a fun evening! Best wishes and prayers for a safe journey on the rest of the tour, MarnieB (and big THANKS for my button):-)

  21. Now I really, really need to work on hubby to take a trip to Whichever TX venue is closer to Laredo....

    ReplyDelete
  22. Won't the button get flattened in the mail machine?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bummer, I'm in New Zealand. Pretty sure that a stamped self-addressed envelope from here won't work... :(

    ReplyDelete
  24. I totally wish I would have known this BEFORE I saw you in Concord! :) Its ok, I have two books signed by both you AND John! WHOOHOOO! I had so much fun this evening :) Oh, and remember to check out "Bad Taste In Boys" by Carrie Harris!

  25. I'm TOTALLY sending you an envelope. I'm still mad I forgot to get my little ribbon when you guys were here in Tempe. (I blame it on being star struck... but I *did* remember to ask John for an autograph, too, and that was my main goal. Get both your autographs.)

  26. @ Brianna - I've mailed several in envelopes before, and I *think* they all arrived Ok - never heard of any problems, at least. I just wrap them in heavy cardstock or bubble wrap to help cushion the back.

@ Maz, if you figure out the shipping and send something over, we'll gladly fill out the customs form needed to get it back to you!

  27. I'm so glad that you had these when you came to AZ last year! I was able to get one and my little 'bot pin is on my corkboard, decorating it and reminding me of my fun night!

  29. What if I need you to send one to Australia? Is there a way we could make that work? 'Cause I don't think your postal service would accept Aussie stamps...

Ah, I just saw Maz's comment from NZ and your response. I will look into this.

Would you want me to pay you for shipping through paypal or similar? I'm always a bit leery of sending money through the post, and then there's the problem of exchange rates.

  30. Jen, how would people who live outside the US get one of your pins? I'd love one, but living in the Netherlands I obviously can't buy the US stamps you need to be on the self-adressed envelope to send it, nor can I send physical dollars. Is there anything we can do with PayPal?

  32. i know this is a little off topic, but have you heard of James Hance? He does really cool art featuring disney, the muppets, and some geeky art :) (including firefly and star wars) you should really check him out!

  33. Yay!! Thanks for the option for those of us that won't be able to see you in person!! By the way, here's another reason it is a shame you won't be passing through NYC this time - I just learned we have a steampunk haunted house!!!

  34. I will not hold this against you, not mentioning it before your Atlanta stop. I mean these things happen. You have to work out the bugs. But I may just have to send two envelopes to make it up to myself!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ooh, I like Maz's comment (only coz you answered it without a sympathetic commiseration). :D Hrm, now to find something to send from Australia...

    ReplyDelete
  36. My envelope is all ready to go, going to put it in the mail tomorrow :) YAY! A new pin for my pin bag!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Sorry, guys, obviously I wasn't thinking through the postage-for-other-countries thing! (I blame lack of sleep. Er. Yeah. That's it.) Paypal is the easiest solution, but with us on the road that's more than I want to take on right now. Remind me when I'm home again in late November, and then I can work on it, k?

  38. Don't worry Jen, us Canadian's are used to be left out of great american deals. Someday you will make it to Western Canada.

  39. Grr. Of course My deployment got extended, so I can't make it to see you guys in Charlotte! Maybe you could swing by Wilmington, and I could give you a tour of the boat instead? Haha, I kid. Enjoy, guys!

  40. You are the best. If I could drive to Chicago(ish) and back just to see you I would. Thanks for not only putting up with our pouting, but making us feel special even though we can't meet you!

  42. Welp, the internet keeps telling me $US100.

    That can't be right.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Maz, USPS (US postal services) says a one pound envelope to ship from here to New Zealand is $10.61USD. For a six ounce envelope it is $5.45 USD. (I've been looking up postage costs to various countries lately.) Hope this helps...

Even though I was at the book signing today, I think I'll send an envelope to them... I heard they were limited in the ones they even had on hand. Figured I could wait until November/December to get one. :-)

  44. Ooh, Ooh, Ooh... what a wonderful Xmas gift to add to my pin collection! So sad you're not coming to CA this year, but I will happily send for a pin!
Also, for a sob story, go HERE
We'll be okay. The pin will cheer me up.
    You guys are awesome :)

  45. Aww... Sadness, I can't attend the tour, and I live out of the country. I know, you should come to St. Kitts so I can get a pin!

  46. nothing about pins (OK. I'll be sending an envelope later). But, I was at Disneyworld last week, and every time I saw Spaceship Earth I thought of you!

  47. DEAL! EEE! I want one!

On another note, Jen, I thought of you on my trip to Virginia when I got a flattened penny token from Busch Gardens. I thought, "Jen would be proud." Someday I'm going to make jewelry.
