Last week I was deep in my feels about the state of the world: that sad, helpless feeling you get when you watch the news and itch to DO SOMETHING, but what can one person do when so much is wrong?

Then I saw these Stories from one of my favorite internet peeps, Sharon McMahon.

I immediately screen-shotted those so I could read and re-read them. The main cause grieving my heart was the war, so I'd been donating, but now I asked myself, "If a Ukrainian refugee was here with me right now, what tangible thing would I do for them?"

"I'd paint their house," I thought. It's what I love to do, and it's what I'm skilled at.

"So who IS here right now, in need?"

My friend Melissa proposed we celebrate "Social Distance-Mas" this Saturday, and I'm digging it:

You might remember I was sick - and super grumpy - over Christmas, so I'm happy for a chance to finally wear my Christmas Mickey ears!

In addition to planning my outfit for the day, I thought it'd be nice to also buy a few pick-me-up gifts for friends. And if I'm shopping anyway, why not support my online family here at Epbot, right?

That led me to post this on the Epbot FB page last week:

Initially I thought I'd transfer everyone's links here to the blog, but after 4 straight hours, I'm waving the white flag, ha. I've got over 50 shops I'm going to share here, and for each one I'm including a product preview photo, synopsis, and the first name of the reader who runs it, just to give that personal connection to your fellow 'bots. I've also arranged them into categories for easier scrolling.

Hi there! We have 18 choices for your pin packs today:

We've added a new BB-bot and Scoops Ahoy 'bot, as well as 2 new colors for the FOE buttons. (FOE stands for "Fans of Epbot," our fan-run Facebook community.)

Each pin pack contains five 1.25 inch pins, and because we make these to order, you can choose any combination of these designs, including multiples. So if you want 5 BB-bots, hey, you can have 5 BB-bots. ::MWAH::

Each pack comes in an orange gift envelope packaged inside a bubble mailer.

We've included shipping & handling in the pricing to make this a little easier, so one pack is $15, 2 packs are $26, and 3 packs are $37. Again that's including shipping, but only within the U.S.

I'm sorry to say we are NOT offering international shipping this round, so U.S. orders only, please.

To purchase, just select how many packs you want from the drop down button below the Paypal button, then - and here's the important part -  type your 5 pin selections into the text box.

I know the text box is small, so to make THAT easier, you can order your pins by number:

New Magnet Designs & Sale Coming This Tuesday!

I've been meaning to show these to you guys for a while now: remember when I asked what fandoms you wanted to see in our next batch of Epbot magnets? Well, John and I tallied up the most-requested ones, and put together 5 new designs!

 Here we go, in no particular order:

... of our new Hamilton 'bot! I think this is our first pin/magnet to break the "Epbot in cosplay" format, but I just love that Botty silhouette. :D

I have a hunch that this will be our most popular in the new batch:

SPOCK 'BOT. 

(I suggested John add the falling tribble, and now it's my favorite part.) 

Next is the happiest colors of the bunch:

Pony 'Bot! (Or Pinkie 'Bot?) John worked so hard getting the word design right on this one, and I lurrrrrve it. (I almost want just the "My Little Epbot" on a pin!)

To be honest this next one is our least favorite of the bunch, but let's see what you guys think: 

Epbot Magnets Are Coming!

Remember last Christmas when our pin packs sold out so fast, and I said we'd offer more after the holidays?

 

Er. Well, it IS after the holidays. [sheepish grin]

But I have good news! 

This time - by popular demand - John and I aren't making pins, we're making magnets. (OoooOOOOoo.) 

 

 They'll look exactly the same as the pins - same packaging, too - just with magnet backings. We'll be attaching them to the backer cards with glue dots, so they won't shift around.

This will be another limited run of 185 packs, since that's how many John and I've figured we can assemble and ship all at once in a timely fashion. Don't worry, though; to keep it fair for you internationals I'll be listing the packs in two batches again, 12 hours apart. 

So mark your calendars now: the magnets go on sale here in our Etsy shop this Tuesday, 8/15, at 3pm EST and 3am EST.

 

I recommend typing out your 5 design choices ahead of time, then copying & pasting during checkout. Just in case.

I'm hoping to convince John to make this more of a monthly thing as opposed to a bi-annual one, so please sound off if you want more magnet and/or pin sales! (We'll offer pins again in the future, too, I'm sure.)
