I've been meaning to show these to you guys for a while now: remember when I asked what fandoms you wanted to see in our next batch of Epbot magnets? Well, John and I tallied up the most-requested ones, and put together 5 new designs!
Wanna see?
Here we go, in no particular order:
You want a revolution? I WANT A REVELATION:
... of our new Hamilton 'bot! I think this is our first pin/magnet to break the "Epbot in cosplay" format, but I just love that Botty silhouette. :D
I have a hunch that this will be our most popular in the new batch:
SPOCK 'BOT.
(I suggested John add the falling tribble, and now it's my favorite part.)
Next is the happiest colors of the bunch:
Pony 'Bot! (Or Pinkie 'Bot?) John worked so hard getting the word design right on this one, and I lurrrrrve it. (I almost want just the "My Little Epbot" on a pin!)
To be honest this next one is our least favorite of the bunch, but let's see what you guys think:
Sherlock 'Bot is mostly an homage to the new show, with a little classic Holmes thrown in with that magnifying glass. It's not super colorful, but I'm hoping my fellow Sherlock fans will dig it.
And finally, do you know how long we had to brainstorm to get the right Muppets design? At least, like, half an hour. We almost went with Animal, but then realized we had to dress Botty as our favorite Muppet:
Swedish Chef!
Again, John knocked it outta the park with the word design here, and that red curtain background practically glows in real life, it's so vivid.
All 5 of these designs will be available in our next sale, coming atcha this Tuesday, 10/24, at 3PM EST. These 5-packs tend to go fast, so for you other time zones I'll also be listing a second batch that same night at 10PM EST.
This sale will be all magnets again, since they were so popular last time, but I'm sure we'll bring pins back in the future. As a reminder, here's a size reference:
We've also updated the packaging graphics, but I haven't photographed those yet.
They're shipped in a bubble mailer, but inside that they're packaged in a cute orange envelope and sealed with an Epbot sticker:
To keep the choices manageable John and I are retiring a few of our least popular designs, but if you've got your heart set on something not shown below, just tell us with your order. We can still make any of the old designs.
For now, though, here are the 17 you have to choose from:
Again, these will all go on sale this Tuesday at 3PM here in my Etsy store. Judging by our past sales you should have about a 20 minute window before they sell out, so set an alarm, and make your choices ahead of time just in case! If you miss the 3PM batch the 10PM one should take longer to sell out, so check back then. I'll be listing just under 200 packs, since that's the limit of what John and I can assemble and ship in a reasonable amount of days. (We make every single magnet to order, so it's a long, hand-bruising process.)
After this I plan to have another sale mid-to-late November, so let me know now if you'd rather that batch be magnets or pins, k?
I'm stocking up on magnets now, so I'd love pins for the next one. <3
ReplyDeleteI know you didn't ask for suggestions this time, but I didn't get to comment on the last post so I hope you don't mind! I think a WALL-E(pbot) would be pretty cute :)
ReplyDeleteYour best designs, yet!!! (In my opinion... ;) ) A++++ I like magnets, as they don't put holes in your clothes and if you want to wear one as a pin - just put a small washer inside your shirt to stick the magnet to (unless you have a pacemaker, then don't ;) )
ReplyDeleteOh wow, it never would have occurred to me to wear a magnet as a pin like that! So smart!
DeleteMy MOPS group has magnet name badges right now so that makes sense to me!
DeleteExcuse me, that is the BEST IDEA I've ever heard.
DeleteAnni here -- You know a certain daughtbot will lobby hard for the name "Pinkiebot!" (Insert hearts, sprinkles, and confetti cannons.) Can't wait to show her!
ReplyDeleteSuper cool! I love the Swedish Chef!
ReplyDeleteOoh, these speak to me on many levels — we are seeing Hamilton in a couple of weeks, I drive a miniature horse named “Tribble”, and my daughter has cosplayed Pinkie Pie! This would be a fantastic Christmas stocking stuffer <3
ReplyDeleteI managed to get a batch last time, and I LOVE them. I'm going to hold out til the November sale and vote PINS! just don't retire the new designs, please?
ReplyDeleteMy Little Epbot! And Spock with Tribbles! EEEEEEEEEEEEE!
ReplyDeleteCan someone remind me how much these packs run? I can't remember...
Each 5-pack is $10, Wendy. :)
DeleteLove the Sherlock one! If I can get them, that's one I'll be picking.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I love the Sherlock one.
ReplyDeleteI NEED that Spockbot as a pin!!!! I really want to get magnets but I don't have anymore mini fridge space for more. Hopefully you'll have that pin sale on a Friday so I'll actually be awake for it. Third shift life isn't good for etsy sales.
ReplyDeleteSwedish Chef-bot! and Spock-bot! Oh that just made me giggle so much. I would love to get them all as magnets. And pins in November! I only ever snagged the very first sale of pins that was done a few years back. Here's hoping I make in time this round
ReplyDeleteI love the new designs! So great!
ReplyDeleteI love the wallpaper & the enlarged wallpaper through the magnifying glass in the Sherbot version- that's what makes that design magic for me!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit confused, do you get to pick one of the groupings pictured together, or your favorite 5?
ReplyDeleteYou pick your favorite 5 :).
DeleteWhat June said! :) You can also get any combo, if you want more than 1 of a particular design.
DeleteSqueee! I love the Hamilton one! It might not be a bot in cosplay, but it's absolutely perfect. However, I'll probably hold off on buying more until the day where there is a LotR bot (fingers crossed).
ReplyDeleteOh, and in answer to your question, I prefer magnets over pins.
(Re-posted to fix a spelling error, I didn't realize blogger would leave a ghost of my first post.)
Oooh, LotR! That's going to be a challenge. Maybe some elf ears & a cloak? ::begins brainstorming::
DeleteOr hairy feet!
DeleteOr all three - hobbits have pointy ears too!
DeleteYippee - can't wait for the new magnets!!!
ReplyDeletePINS, PINS, PINS, PINS. I love to wear hats that NEED pins.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! Would love to see Supernatural ones, if you do another round....
ReplyDeleteWe had a Castiel-Bot pin, Rosebud, and just pulled it this round since it wasn't as popular. If you'd like one we can still make it for your order, though; just mention it in the comment section with your other design choices. :)
DeleteOMG, you guys are so freaking awesome to do something like that!
DeleteI love the Sherlock one! And Spock-bot with tribbles me so happy :)
ReplyDeleteI'll put in my vote to keep doing magnets. I had an original bot pin from your book tour on my backpack, and it sadly did not survive getting rained and snowed on...
MAGNETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletedidn't you have a worm from the labyrith one? is he no longer available?
ReplyDeleteWe pulled the Worm from the lineup, Narf (can I call you Narf?), but if you'd like one just tell us in the comment box on your order, and I'll make one up special. :D
DeleteOoh, please do pins next! I have a small random collection that I'm going to decorate my craft bins with (you know, those canvas cubes that fit on shelves.)
ReplyDeleteAdd another vote for pins next time. <3
ReplyDeleteGuys - missed opportunity for a pun with the Sherlock bot! It's "Sherbot". Get it?
ReplyDelete*crickets*
Very cute designs this round.
I have pins and realized...I have nowhere to attach pins, so they sit in a drawer. So I'm excited for magnets! And I DID set and alarm and got 2 packs :)
ReplyDeleteI love the tribbles episode and the end where they are all falling down on Kirk so I love that touch. It makes me laugh so hard that scene cause seriously someone is just back there throwing them out. :-D
ReplyDeleteI love these so much! But, GUYS, the smiley would have made an excellent "O" in Epbot! :) You and John are so creative, and such a good influence on the world, I love you to pieces. Sorry this is a million years late, my email stopped notifying me every time you write a post.
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! I've been behind on your blog for a few weeks due to moving and being without internet and such, so I'm just seeing these today. Love them! I'd prefer pins for the next sale, because I have way too many magnets, but I have a little collection of pins on my cube wall at work that I would love to add some more 'bots to!
