*Supersonic Squeeing*

The last two nights have been steadier and calmer, plus I got to take my parents to Wizarding World yesterday and watch my mom gleefully play with her new wand, plus...

 LOOK AT MY FEET TODAY.

And these ones really DO fit!

 WootWootWoot!

Yep, I'm feelin' so fine, you even get an outfit selfie:

Now I must go buy a whole new wardrobe to match my shoes.

... right after I finish all this work I need to catch up on.

Here's to grabbing life's glittery goodness everywhere you can find it, and to working with your feet up so you can look at your shoes.

  7. I've been so down lately. It's been one hell of a year already and I've lost a lot. I've been watching some YouTuber girl fangirling over Doctor Who and Harry Potter for an hour because I don't have it in me to get out of bed and make dinner and I'm just sobbing because I wish I could muster up the enthusiasm she has for the things she cares about and now I'm reading your post telling me to grabbing life's glittery goodness. The world is telling me to pull up my boot straps up and get on with it so here's hoping that tomorrow it's a little easier getting out of bed. Sincerely, thank you.

    1. We've (almost) all been there, and we're rooting for you to make it through, Whitney!

    2. Hugs, Whitney. So many hugs. Sometimes you've just gotta hide under the covers and sob it out, and that's ok. And when you see a sliver of sparkle you can hang onto - Youtube vids or music or shows or art or whatever - that's when you grab on and relish it. Your glittery goodness is coming, I promise.

  11. Kind of funny knowing that many total strangers, such as I am, yelled with joy at seeing the picture, knowing you found the shoes in your size.

  12. I really feel like this should be the beginning of something like "Hipster Rainbow Bright" cosplay.

  14. I'm SQUEEEEEing, too! And you'll get this pair I bought you for your birthday, so since you have a back-up pair, no excuses to not wear those every day of your life! Well, at least every time you leave the house, heh. They look really cute on you, of course!

  15. My Walmart doesn't have them, and I can't buy them anyway, with nowhere to wear them to. I know they don't call it manic/depressive syndrome anymore, but I've been on the down-curve for a few weeks, and thought yo should know, that I *love* Epbot... Even more than I love Cake Wrecks. Even when your posts are sad, or what you think may not be interesting, they are to me. They make me feel better, and I want to thank you for that!

    1. Sending you virtual squishy hugs, Amanda. John found my pair on Ebay, in case you want to check there for the shoes - 'cuz c'mon, you can wear these ANYWHERE, am I right? Shopping, work, weddings...

    2. LOL!!! Weddings... I'd wear those down the aisle! I'm glad he found them for you, because they're no longer on the Walmart site. I'm slowly bringing myself to do bright colors... *Almost* convinced myself to dye my head tinsel a neon teal, but thought I should probably wait until I'm not doing job interviews anymore. (:
I'll have to take those hugs and return them to sender. (: Oh, and I agree with Kris in the next comment, you need a Rainbow Brite costume to go with those sneaks. (:

  22. That is so awesome that you found them in your size! I concur that we need to see a "Hipster Rainbow Brite" cosplay in those shoes.

I'm still trying to justify to my wife why I NEED a pair of metallic silver glowing hitops in my size!

  23. YAY for finding the sparkly shoes in your actual size!! Was there an epic quest involved?

And I third (at least) the interest in your necklace -- where did you get it?? Can we see a close-up? You wear the cutest things!

  26. I am IN LOVE with those shoes! When I was younger, there was a pair of men's maroon Airwalks that had sparkles in them and I wanted them soon badly! I never got them but still dream about them. These might be a decent stand in!

  27. Yay, you got them! ::Kermit flail::

  28. I love it!! Unfortunately I am plagued with gargantuan feet, so I have to live vicariously through your rainbow gloriousness.

  29. Congrats on acquiring your new beee-u-ti-ful shoes!

  30. When my daughter was little, when asked her style I'd say "take a brightly covered outfit, and let a unicorn throw up on it, the resulting sparkles and rainbows is her style"

That's the same description I'd give those shoes. And I mean it in the best possible way, I just don't know how else to explain how incredibly rainbow and sparkly they are.

  31. Loving the new kicks! The SECOND I get a new pair of shoes I have to wear them, no matter what I'm wearing. My mom has often caught me rocking a pair of glittery high heels with my pajamas! Yep, there's nothing in the world a pair of gorgeous new shoes won't fix. Glad you're having a happy one! 😀

  32. You're just so stinkin' cute in those glittery rainbow shoes and rockin' outfit, Jen! I, too, got a huge smile on my face when I saw your post. Thanks for a bright spot in my day... So much so that I was all squinty and needing my sunglasses! 😎

  34. Oh, Jen I have go to thank you! I was looking for new shoes for an interview in the local Tar-jey and bemoaning the fact that all the women's sandals were either ugly or had a 4 inch heel. Totally can't wear heels cause I'll fall flat on my face. I was whining that the little girl's sandals were so much better and I wish they made them in women's sizes. Then i remembered the glittery goodness, and how you wear a size 6 in women's but a 4 in kids'. I wear a size 7, and they had shoes that went up to a girl's size 6! Needless to say, I now am doing happy dance cause I have awesome professional sandals and they totally fit my feet BETTER than any pair I've bought from the women's department. Plus they were half the price!

And now I really want to see Zootopia! That song is amazing!
