Last weekend Universal held their annual Harry Potter Celebration, a special event included with regular admission. Though it's not exactly packed with new activities, the Celebration does include a great cast Q&A, a "Sorting Hat Experience," and a special Expo area filled with promotional items and movie props.
The best part for me, though, are the guest costumes. Unlike party-pooper Disney, which recently banned costumes on anyone over age 14, Universal actively encouraged Potter fans to dress for the occasion - with a few "guidelines," of course:
The rules were mostly common sense stuff: no face coverings, nothing offensive, and if you carry a homemade wand, it can't be too pointy. (These are all my paraphrases, of course.)
I'll be covering the events portion of the weekend - including the fan-organized tributes to Alan Rickman - in a future post. But for now, costumes!
The Weasley's have never been more adorable. In fact, these two are in my top favs from the whole weekend.
(I decided to give my pics a vintage vibe with the editing, btw. It just felt right.)

A dapper witch and a Blue Cornish Pixie! Hee! (Those ears are faaabulous.)
A quidditch player and a reporter for the Daily Prophet:
The reporter had a press badge on her hat, and a custom skirt covered with Daily Prophet articles!
This group had their own Dobby and magical supplies cart:
I was delighted to see two or three Lion-Head-Lunas over the weekend:
And here's the Snape-in-Neville's-grandmother's-clothes who REALLY stole the show:
He put on the same stunned expression for every photo, which was hilarious.
I hate to admit it, but I'm stumped on this mashup:
He looks like he's dressed from Assasin's Creed, but her hair thingies are totally Avatar, right? Help!
These two gents grabbed John to be in the picture, too:
Don't they look the picture of two wizards out for a pint? Ahh, I love it.
(Btw, if you "get" John's t-shirt, please tell him in the comments. We made it ourselves, and then he was convinced it just confused people. I say more people understand "the rest" reference than he thinks. PROVE ME RIGHT, GUYS.)
Gender-swapped Dumbledore:
And can we stop for a sec to appreciate the age range of fans in costume? I'm pretty sure there were more people over thirty dressed up than under! Gah, that makes me happy.
This lovely witch made her own custom robes:
Keeping in character, this Slytherin prefect was a bit annoyed when I asked his group for a photo:
He had a gorgeous velvet vest on, though. Stylin'.
Another Dumbledore with Luna:
I wish I'd taken all my costume shots in Diagon Alley - it's the only place where I don't want to crop the background!
Rowena Ravenclaw with a stylish Narcissa and Bellatrix:
I spotted some familiar faces from Leaky Con, including this girl who dresses as the Snitch:
Her face is metallic gold and she's wearing a bald cap. Now that's commitment!
Another awesome Lion-Head-Luna - this time in Quidditch gear:
And a fun couple beside us at the cast Q&A:
This fellow had his own plush Mandrake baby:
And so did this Professor Sprout, who had a crocheted Mandrake purse!
Oooh, she's friends with Delores Umbridge?? SAY IT AIN'T SO, PROFESSOR.
Two Epbot readers recognized me on Saturday, which was fun and unexpected. The first, Jen, spent most of the day with us, and here's the other, Shawna:
...as Narcissa Malfoy, with her kids as Luna & Draco.
She found us during the Alan Rickman tribute. More on that in my next post.
Presenting the world's cutest Dobby:
THAT HAT!! And she's carrying a book with a sock in it!
More awesomeness: a gender-swapped Scamander from the upcoming movie, Fantastic Beasts:
Her coat is embroidered with four different animal outlines - I think that's the peacock? Or maybe the dragon. Anyway, so pretty.
Here's a reference shot of Scamander:
Cool, right?
Arg, I'm so bummed my focus went screwy on this next one:
... because that's the best Harry & Ron I've seen!
(And a young Lupin beside them!)
In fact, those two were SO good that Universal's security told them to stop posing for pictures. o.0 They weren't the only ones being harassed, either; these three had to hide behind the building before I could take their photo:
The two on the left are Cosplay Craziness, if you want to follow them on FB! Great couple. (And yes, of COURSE Barty Crouch also cosplays as The Doctor. ;))
Afterward John talked with security about the situation, and it seems they were only concerned with traffic flow and having other guests mistake the cosplayers for Universal employees. Understandable concerns, but it's still not cool to make people afraid to stop for any photos.
K, moving on...
These ladies had the BEST feathery capes:
Hedwig and Fawkes!
Hedwig had aviator goggles on her head, and Fawkes' feathers were metallic red and gold. Shiny.
Hedwig had aviator goggles on her head, and Fawkes' feathers were metallic red and gold. Shiny.
Another wizarding family and a Beauxbaton's student:
Oh! And two more of my top favorites:
They made everything they're wearing, and even the cape linings were gorgeous. Look at his hat!! Plus his watch chain is made of gears, for a slightly steampunky touch. I approve.
I found the four (femme) House founders inside the Expo:
I had to use the flash - but that just makes it more dramatic, right?
They're all stunning, and I love how they each posed in character.
They're all stunning, and I love how they each posed in character.
I also found a second Snape-in-Neville's-grandmother's-clothes:
... and his expression is even more hilarious. Ha!
And finally, two ladies who made the most incredible Snape and Sirius:
Sirius is even holding a small Peter Pettigrew, in Scabbers form.
It was dusk when I took this, and I love the moody feel of the Alley around them.
Hope you guys enjoyed your virtual visit! I'll be posting more pics from the weekend's events soon, so stay tuned for those.

John, I got the reference on the shirt. It's fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI just love this. Thanks so much for sharing it with those of us too far away to experience it (Scotland)
ReplyDeleteI get the t-shirt comment!
ReplyDeleteAlso loved Matthew Lewis' line at the Sunday Q&A when asked about what houses Pottermore sorted the actors in to. When he said he got Hufflepuff, the crowd cheered - to which he responded, "cheer all you want, I'm pissed!".
I totally get (and love) the Hufflepuff t-shirt reference and if ever you end up making shirts or pins with that on it for sale, I WANT one! (please)
ReplyDeleteLove the t-shirt, John, and totally got it!
ReplyDeleteI get you John! My daughter is proud to be "the Rest" also. hummm we needed some wizards in muggle clothes...as in wrong choices. ;) lol
ReplyDeleteTotally got the reference John, great shirt!
ReplyDeleteOf course I get the reference! (Fun Fact: Sorting is back on Pottermore, and it put me in Hufflepuff, too. So now I know for sure *waves to fellow badgers* :D)
ReplyDeleteThat Weasley couple is sensational - I think they look the part even better than the actors they chose for the movies. And That Barty Crouch is insane. And of course he also cosplays as the Doctor. Figures.
Is John Hufflepuff? I just found out yesterday that I am and now my family is teasing me asking if I'm afraid of spoons and bed sheets.
ReplyDeleteBeing a Hufflepuff doesn't necessarily mean that we aren't brave or ambitious or smart. It simply means that those things don't define us. We're kind and patient and loyal and tolerant and that's awesome. That's who I want to be and how I want to be known. Wear it proudly, my fellow Puff.
DeleteThank you, John - perfectly put! Everyone has at least one good trait or personal talent - is it so important which one it has to be?
DeleteIncidentally, Melissa, I was wondering - why spoons and bedsheets? Is there a reference I don't get?
DeleteRavenclaw myself, but I like what JK herself had to say on the subject. Or, rather, what her daughter had to say: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Smu0RneksxI
DeleteAs a fellow Hufflepuff, I both get and LOVE John's shirt! Excellent pictures, as always :)
ReplyDeleteI love the shirt!! SO proud to be 'the rest'. Yay Hufflepuff!! <3
ReplyDeleteI don't have time to read the whole post, yet.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say, I get it, John! Poor Hufflepuff is the Professor and Maryann of Hogwarts. Do you get that reference? Eh, you're probably too young.
Also, I can not wait until our So Cal Harry Potter World opens up! Now I need to find time to make a costume...
-Just Andrea
Love your Hufflepuff will take all the rest shirt. So cute with the scarf on the badger!
ReplyDeleteWait wait wait...
ReplyDeleteIs the gentleman in the snitch picture (father?) ALL of the horcruxes? He's holding the diary, seems to have the diadem on his head, has the lightning scar on his forehead...part of Nagini draped over him?
Awesome.
My next favorite has to be that final pic of Sirius and Snape. Loooovvvve.
By Jove, I think you might be right about the horcrux dad. Well spotted!!
DeleteYes, He definitely is! If you look closely, he is holding the cup in his other hand (over the snitch's shoulder), and is wearing the locket and ring (pointer finger on the hand holding the book)
DeleteAmazing!! I love it all!!! And YES, Jon! I get the shirt! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove these costumes! And I like your shirt John!! I get it :)
ReplyDeleteI have a Hufflepuff hat that I wear to work all the time (because apparently rainbow hair isn't appropriate), and I always get ridiculously excited when people know what it is. I'd love a shirt like that one, I totally get it!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing. So glad that you took the time to share - thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics! And the shirt! Go Hufflepuff!
ReplyDeleteLove the shirt - I totally want one for myself. Totally understood the reference. Thanks for sharing all these fabulous pictures!
ReplyDeleteTotally get John's shirt and want one. I didn't like any of the Hufflepuff shirts at the London Harry Potter Studio Tour. As a teacher, I am proud to be "the rest" and "teach them all the same"! I don't think Hufflepuff is for leftover.
ReplyDeletePROUD to get John's shirt! PUFF PRIDE!
ReplyDeleteI haven't even finished looking at everything but had to comment right away that yes I absolutely get John's shirt and as a fellow Hufflepuff, I love it and want one for myself! :-)
ReplyDelete1. I get the reference!
ReplyDelete2. Flapper Fawkes, FTW! :D
I also love that most of the cosplayers were older, since that is definitely NOT the norm. Cool photos!
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about Harry Potter, so I don't "get" John's shirt, but that doesn't stop me from LOVING these amazing pics and the fabulous cosplay! I promise to read all the books some day and then watch all the movies and then take a trip to Universal.
ReplyDeleteThanks for facing the crowds, taking these awesome pics, spending tons of time sorting and editing, and then sharing them with us and telling us who everyone is. So much fun!
KW
The shirt -- Gilligan's island? As in Hufflepuff is the "Professor & Mary Ann" of Hogwarts houses?
ReplyDeleteI think you're right on the mystery mash-up. I think it's Korra and Mako (given the red scarf) from Avatar, but they're mostly Potterfied.
ReplyDeleteI also get the shirt! Love all the pictures. I can't wait to visit Potter-world some day!!
Totally came here to say that. I think her sleeveless shirt and hair was my biggest clue. Nice catch!
DeleteDefinitely got the reference, John :)
ReplyDeleteI decided to comment on John's shirt even before you said it was made by you to yourself! This Huffel loves it :D
ReplyDeleteLoving Johns 'Puff pride!! :D
ReplyDeleteTotally got John's shirt! One of my kids keeps taking quizzes and ALWAYS gets sorted in to Hufflepuff even though he so badly wants to be a Gryffindor. It makes me a little sad for him, because he truly would be a Hufflepuff through and through; he's the kindest, gentlest, most sympathetic soul I know (sorry, all my other kids, but you know it's true)! Hufflepuffs are awesome!
ReplyDeleteFirst comment and it's a reply to someone sharing my name...
DeleteBut as for your kid, you might console him that if Hogwarts were real, and he just -asked- the hat, I bet it WOULD put him in Gryffindor. Being willing to ask is a huge sign of bravery.
As someone who can't get anything but Gryffindor on Pottermore, tell him I'd be proud to count him in my house. 'Puffs are awesome too.
I'm Ravenclaw & I still get John's shirt!
ReplyDeleteDang, the Godric(ia?) Gryffindor girl could double as Clara from Doctor Who! In fact, I think there's an episode where she wears something very similar!
ReplyDeleteYay for the Hufflepuff shirt! Wait, Disney banned adults in costume? So no more Disney bounding? No more Dapper Days??? What are they thinking??????
ReplyDeleteNow, I only know Disneyland, but as far as I know it doesn't affect dapper days or bounding. They just don't want random adults showing up looking too much like Disney characters, which I do understand. When I went to a trick or treat night there was a spot on Tinkerbell and Peter Pan hanging around a regular character meet location and even signing autographs, which I'm sure could be a huge security nightmare if these people had tried to do anything illegal or inappropriate.
DeleteDisneybounding, Dapper Day, and even steampunk or other themed outfits are totally fine. Disney didn't *actually* change their rules about costumes - adults have never been allowed to look like an official character or any other employee. They just made that big announcement to scare off the people who think it's funny to dress as Peter Pan and say stupid things to kids, etc. Those of us who just like to have a bit of style when we go to the parks have nothing to worry about. :)
Delete@Merida Ann but what about Halloween party costumes?
DeleteIf they're Disney character costumes, then no. If there's a mask or it's super bulky or long enough to drag on the ground or it's inappropriate or anything else that wouldn't be allowed based on other rules, then no. But if you want to dress as a hobbit or Sherlock Holmes or a cowgirl or whatever, there shouldn't be an issue as of the way they're treating it right now.
DeleteI'm the golden snitch you saw. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWe Hufflepuffs are pretty badass - we don't give a s#!t. We're crazy!
ReplyDeleteProud to be Badger with all the rest!
I love "The Rest" shirt. I had to re-take the sorting hat quiz on Pottermore (couldn't remember what my user name was, d'oh). I went from being a Hufflepuff to becoming a Ravenclaw. In my heart, I think I will always be a Hufflepuff.
ReplyDeleteI went from Ravenclaw to Hufflepuff, haha. I'm definitely a Ravenclaw but I have become more Hufflepuffy over time and would be proud to be in either house :)
DeleteThere was a baby dressed as a mandrake that was just the best.
ReplyDeleteAs a Ravenclaw, I like 'Puffs. Good people, that lot. Ahem. (Seriously, you guys got Tonks!)
ReplyDeleteI want one of "the rest" shirts! It is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat one crossover is definitely Legend of Korra and Assassin's Creed though it's anyone's guess as to why they did those together.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE John's shirt!!! As a fellow Hufflepuff I need to know where I can get one RIGHT NOW.
I LOVE John's shirt and now I totally want one!!!! Puff Pride!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE John's shirt and now I totally want one!!!! Puff Pride!!!
ReplyDelete"Good Hufflepuff, she took the rest and taught them all she knew."
ReplyDeleteYep, thought that straight away! We get the reference John :)

ReplyDeletethe girl by the fountain with the caption "This lovely witch made her own custom robes:" really appears to be channeling Nymphadora Tonks, with her blue hair. Tonks does have a full length crimson leather robe thing she wears.

The one where you said he looked a little Assassin Creed and she had an Avatar hair thing going... They also both look familiar. I'm thinking there was a Gryffindor in the movies with that hair... Lavender Brown maybe? He has a bit of a Slytherin flair, it might have been someone from the Quidditch world cup scenes. Ugh, can't place it. Not random choice though.
ReplyDelete"By Gryffindor, the bravest were
ReplyDeletePrized far beyond the rest"
Excellent shirt, John (tHoJ)!
Aw, I'm a Ravenclaw, and I couldn't come up with a shirt as witty as your Hufflepuff one! We totally all get it. (OTOH, consider the audience).
ReplyDeleteWhen the fourth HP film came out my friends and I were slightly ahead of the game...three of us dressed up for the opening night late showing as Prof. Trelawney, Rita Skeeter and Moaning Myrtle, thinking there'd be lots of other people dressed up. There weren't. And we were late and had to run to take the only available seats at the very front of the cinema - felt awkward and excellent in equal measure! Thanks for the pics. xx
ReplyDeleteAnother proud Hufflepuff who gets John's shirt!
ReplyDeleteAnother proud Hufflepuff who gets John's shirt!
ReplyDeleteI get "The Rest" shirt, too!
ReplyDeleteI think Barty Crouch was actually channeling The Purple Man from Marvel's Jessica Jones.
Ha! You're right - I totally missed that!
DeleteMy 13 yr old son got the shirt reference (he's also Hufflepuff). :-)
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow Hufflepuff, I love John's shirt and totally get it!
ReplyDeleteI was sorted to Ravenclaw (whee!) but totally get it and love it. ALSO, the Barty/Doctor cosplayer is ALSO being very very clever by making his suit purple...for Kilgrave in Jessica Jones. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteAHH! Hufflepuffs Unite! I get John's shirt. I'm proud to be "the rest!"
ReplyDeleteholy crap we're on the internet! I’m half the beer drinking couple in Diagon Alley with the very handsome & well-dressed wizard with the steampunk watch chain. It was the first time we’ve ever dressed up for something like this and it was such a fun and amazing experience. We’re already dreaming of what to do next year. Fantastic round-up of all the costumes, I can’t believe we missed some of them in person.
ReplyDeleteAlso as a fellow Hufflepuff I love the shirt!
Of course a fan would "get" Jon's shirt. I got it right away. I loved it so much it made me consider wishing I were in Hufflepuff instead of the Ravenclaw/Gryffindor I usually get.
ReplyDeleteGood Hufflepuff, she took the rest
ReplyDeleteand taught them all she knew...
Gotta love the Sorting Hat songs :)
I'd probably be Hufflepuff too, John.
ReplyDeleteThe one as Barty Crouch is wearing purple. I don't know if the 'Jessica Jones' is your cup of tea but Tennant was the big bad, The Purple Man. So that fellow can cosplay all year long.
ReplyDeleteoh what an amazing post! looks like such a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteI do understand John's shirt. We Ravenclaws are good at figuring things out.
Dobby looks like a simple costume and good for hot weather!
I get John's shirt as well! On Pottermore, I was initially sorted into Hufflepuff and was so peeved that I created a new account using a second email address and steered my answers to questions so that I'd likely end up in Slytherin. And I did. That's totally and deviously Slytherin, right?
ReplyDeleteI totally get the shirt. It almost makes me wish I had been sorted into a different house ;)
ReplyDeleteAWESOME costumes all around! Love the Hedwig and Fawkes. :) And I get John's shirt, too. Does the back say "Proud to be a particularly good finder"?
ReplyDeleteJohn's shirt is fantastic! Even though I'm a Ravenclaw myself, I think Hufflepuff may be my favourite house. Fantasitc pictures too!
ReplyDeleteI got the reference, and I love it. Go Hufflepuffs =)
ReplyDeleteProud Hufflepuff who totally understood the reference!
ReplyDeleteI got the reference. I don't remember it verbatim but I do recall that a Sorting Hat song mentioned Helga Hufflepuff taking 'the rest' that the other Founders didn't and that she would treat them just the same. It's one of the reasons why, though I always get 'sorted' into Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff is my favorite of the Founders and why I love me the Hufflepuffs of the world.
ReplyDelete"The Rest" is brilliant. One of my children proudly identifies as one of THE REST. Brilliant shirt.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get the reference and so I had to google the rest. What a coincidence that earlier tonight I was listening to the end of my audiobook of Goblet of Fire, and was choking up over Dumbledore's tribute to Cedric Diggory. He used the same words to describe Cedric as what the wikia says that Helga Hufflepuff favored in her students.
ReplyDeleteTotally get the shirt! Also, if you've never heard it, look up the Mitchell and Webb skit on Hufflepuff. It's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteepic costumes! I need to go next year!
ReplyDeleteI get John's tshirt! Also he is adorbz.
ReplyDeleteSo much amazing Harry Potteriness!
ReplyDeleteWhy does everyone get so upset about being told they're loyal and hard-working? I mean, there's no way I'd get into Hufflepuff because I'm lazy as all get out. I'm also a massive coward with no ambition, so there's nowhere left for me but Ravenclaw (GO EAGLES!)
I need to go back on Pottermore, though. I haven't been on since the Book 3 content first came out O.o;;; That was a long way back.
And all that cosplay is making me want to do genderbent Marauder's cosplay so badly... But where would I do it, and who would I do it with? :( I would die within a day if I lived in Florida (I barely managed that one week I spent there) because I am terrible at heat and humidity, but I do envy being that close to something that awesome.)
I get why there's a no masks rule, but it is a pity you couldn't give the death eater outfits an outing. Are they languishing in Azkaban?
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee This post makes me NEEEEEEEEEEED to cosplay some Wizarding World ASAP!
ReplyDeleteCompletely understand "The Rest" shirt and its great! Those costumes are fantastic! Can't wait to read the rest of your coverage of the event!
ReplyDeleteI love the "the rest" reference. I'm a Hufflepuff too! It's an honorable house!
ReplyDeleteThese are FANTASTIC Jen!!! I'm so in love with that Hedwig costume, that I think I may have to go for it this Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThe costumes are fantastic and yes, John, I got the shirt!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is also a Hufflepuff and I would totally love to see him in that shirt :D
ReplyDeleteI understand the shirt!!! I love it John. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for taking these pics and sharing! I've never been to Harry Potter World, but want to go badly! Your pictures make me feel like I'm there enjoying in the fun.
ReplyDeleteGreat shirt John! I get it...I'm a Hufflepuff too!
There are people who are confused by John's shirt? Hmmm...yeah, I got it immediately. But could be because I'm also a Hufflepuff. And that's an awesome shirt. I'd love to have one for myself.
ReplyDeletePeople are so creative. I love all your pics and will totally be linking people to this post for ideas for our Harry Potter party in the summer. Love that so many older people dressed up for this event. I wish I could have made it out, but we were just in Orlando in October.
ReplyDeleteI think John's shirt is awesome. I feel like people who don't get it need to reread the books, amiright? :)
I am all about John's shirt! I would love one.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to be one of "the rest" as well. Love the shirt!!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! With the femme house founders, Helga Hufflepuff is Lexie Grace and Salazar "Sally" Slytherin is Anna Faith. They're two cosplayer sisters who frequently cosplay as "The Frost Sisters" Anna and Elsa. They're on instagram and they're really good!! You should check them out
ReplyDeleteProud Hufflepuff here who totally got the shirt! It looks great - wish I could buy it somewhere! My fav 'Puff shirt says "Hufflepuff Don't Care"
ReplyDeleteI admit to being really disappointed when I got sorted into Ravenclaw on Pottermore ... so I made a different account an tried again. Puff for the win!
I'm so glad you guys got John's Hufflepuff shirt made! The new sorting took me from an unofficial 'Puff to a Ravenclaw, but some part of my heart will always be a badger. Also I hope that the new HP area at Universal LA will do this, too! Harry Potter Day at Disneyland got shut down recently for being too popular/ the same "traffic flow" reasons your Universal cast cited, but it was popular for a reason! Anyway, it looks like this was an awesome time, and these pics are excellent!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos! I love that you share these, because it gives me a chance to feel included from the other side of the world.
ReplyDeleteAnd as a fellow 'Puff, I love John's shirt! It's awesome.
I would totally take a shirt like John's. I'm a Hufflepuff too. :P
ReplyDeleteAlso, lovely pictures. The four founders are gorgeous. And you got some great shots.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHufflepuff Pride! Don't worry John, you probably only confused a few people. All the Hufflepuffs absolutely got it, and it's adorable so you should be proud of that!
ReplyDeleteI got the reference on his shirt! :) Hufflepuffs unite!
ReplyDeleteI get the shirt! Tis awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd oh man, is that first Snape in Neville's Grandma's clothes amazing!
Clearly if I lived in Florida, I would have to get a lot more creative about costumes. These folks raised the bar!
YAY, Hufflepuff! As a fellow Hufflepuff, I completely understand the reference. I don't think I've commented before, but had to to let y'all know that I "get" it. ;)
ReplyDeleteAs a Hufflepuff, I get the reference, and I want the shirt! Your cosplay posts make me want to try it, but a combo of anxiety, finances, and not knowing where to begin keeps me for doing more than Ren Faires, school spirit weeks (I'm a high school teacher), Halloween, and costume parties. Keep up the wonderful eye candy and other posts!
ReplyDeleteLove the T shirt, Puff'Pride!! Im one of 'The rest' too according to Pottermores quiz sorting.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your shirt John!!! I would so buy one if they were offered. I am also a Puff and my son (who is a Gryffindor)teases me which is why I would totally wear that shirt!!!
ReplyDeleteTotally get your shirt. In fact my 10 year old did a happy clap when he saw it. He wants it for his birthday so if you are ever able to do a large order we'd definitely want one!
ReplyDeleteas a fellow 'puff, i too am proud- they can be daring and cunning and brave, but good hufflepuff took the rest!!! PUFF PRIDE
ReplyDelete"Good Hufflepuff, she took the rest and taught them all she knew", we absolutely get the reference!
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow Hufflepuff (who also is nerdy enough to make her own shirt) I LOVE JOHN'S SHIRT! i was like "where'd he get that?!" and was about to google.
ReplyDeletepic of my shirt (not nearly so creative): http://tinyurl.com/zbhnyye
I'm a bit late to the party, but have you guys (Jen and John) heard of Ursula Vernon? She's also a proud Hufflepuff and wrote a really nice little fanfiction.
ReplyDeleteThe Only Harry Potter Fanfic I Will Ever Write (Probably)
Ursula's new head-cannon is that all Hufflepuffs receive a war-badger upon graduation, which I think is awesome. So, John, what would you name your war-badger?
No one ventured out as any of the house ghosts besides Helena Ravenclaw? I would have LOOOOOOOOOVEEEED a Nearly-Headless Nick
ReplyDelete
