My Robot Makes Me Smile

John and I leave in less than twelve hours for our Tempe show, but I had to show you these:

Just in case any of you will be there. :)

If so, just ask for one at the table; I only had time to make a few handfuls to bring along.

Wish us luck and good health; the CW "World" Tour part three starts tomorrow!

  20. I could cry- I'm only 15 mins. away from the bookstore, but no chance of making it tomorrow. I'm there in spirit- and would totally wear the pin. :) Only you would schedule a book signing in AZ on the first day of summer! :) Safe trip, and remember to drink your water!

  21. You should ask for a penny for each button - and then tool the pennies into buttons using your doming block. Then fans would know that their pennies are now decorative items around your house!

  22. NO GETTING SICK!!!!!! Praying you guys have a healthy, safe, fun, happy tour!

    ReplyDelete
  23. you are one creative individual. I friggin love your brain, but in a non weird way. Im gonna stop talking now.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I would totally ask for one of those!

  25. Jen, I don't blame you for wanting to share, those are cute! However, it is slightly mean of you to show ALL of us, but then only share the actual buttons with the tour. I collect this type of button (not aggressively, but casually), and I would love to have one. Sadly, I live in NC and not CA. I don't suppose that you will be touring here? Or even selling the cute button somewhere? You could even sell it in a two pack with the "I want sprinkles" design from Cake Wrecks.

    Just a thought......

  26. I love that the robot looks a little chubby. Makes me happy. Also, when are you coming to Colorado? WHEN, I say, WHEN?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I love those buttons!!! I'm thinking you guys should take your tour to the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Navy base. Yep. Oh and what a coincidence... that's where I live! :) Best of luck with your tour.

I'm IN LOVE with your buttons, Jen. And you've given me the "button bug". Now I have to make some for my band... but crafting supplies are SOOO expensive over here!!

and i will find you and get my carrot jockey this year.

    ReplyDelete
  38. You aren't coming to CT this time and you didn't come last time so I too would like a pin sent to me. Maybe 10 of them so that I can hand them out to friends of mine. Maybe you can make them available in Cake Wrecks shop. I'd pay for them.

    ReplyDelete
  39. please please please please please sell these on epbot or cake wrecks sometime in the near future!!!! it's just what my bookbag needs to be complete!!!!! (my bookbag has an assortment of buttons, pins, appliques, and patches dealing with anything from spamalot to being green to the movie office space to the movie juno to obama to john lennon to coffee and (my favorite) to flogging molly, so..... as you can see, this would be the perfect addition :D

  40. I was SO SO SO SO SO excited that Salt Lake made it on the tour and then I saw the date and sunk in my chair. I am in charge of a youth fundraiser that night. It is pathetic that I seriously considered if it would be possible for me to skip out and come and see you. Alas being responsible stinks. Have fun! I will miss you!

  47. *wimper*

Another Texas girly here who wants a Roberta pin. Have you named the robot yet? What about having a naming contest for your robot to win a pin for those of us who sadly don't live close to your tour stops?

Think your promo manager could try to schedule a Houston visit on your next tour? I'm sure we could find one small bookstore somewhere in Houston (we're only the 4th largest metropolis).

  48. Unrelated to pins, but completely related to Epbot:

I found a cool online site that sells jewelry findings and whatnot that would be totally appropriate for making steampunk jewelry and embellishments. She even has a few finished pieces for sale (like a "talisman" bracelet, but OMG $280!). Worth checking out if you're still needing some unique pieces for creating/decorating.

  50. I saw this link and immediately thought of you. Apparently a famous steampunk treehouse is going to be permanently installed at my hometown brewery (Dogfish Head Beer-Milton, DE)

  63. Hi Jen! I got your last Epbot button yesterday in La Jolla (and I wear it with pride!). I just wanted to say again what a pleasure it was to meet you and John, and because I forgot to tell you in person, THANK YOU so much for paying the entrance fee for all of us. That kind of generosity is unbelievable.

    Thanks again!!

  66. Jen? Hello? Are you out there?

    ReplyDelete
  67. I know I'm a total hypocrite (because I haven't posted on my own blog in over a month) but I'm going into withdrawl. Where's my Epbot?!? There's new Cake Wrecks everyday, but Epbot is like the red-headed stepchild over here.
    :(

  68. Jen -- I'm totally at a loss as to how to pass this on, so here goes nothing...
