We Have Epbot T-Shirts Now! THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Plus A New Pin Sale Is Coming This Week!

Hey girl

 I see you're eyeing my t-shirt.

Well, I'm NOT SURPRISED.

Here, let me flex or dance or whatever it is I'm doing here for you:

See how well it moves?

The t-shirt, I mean.
[eyebrow waggle]

That's all that quality cottony goodness and extra vibrant print technology.

Now please ask Jen to make me stop posing.

Thanks(?), John,  I'll take it from here.

So hey!

LOOK WHAT WE JUST LAUNCHED:

It's our brand spankin' new Threadless shop!

I've been wanting to get you guys t-shirts for YEARS, but it's taken us this long to find a maker who's both affordable and makes comfy quality shirts.

Case in point, our last attempt through TeePublic started to fall apart after just 3 or 4 washings:

Look how grungy and cracked! TERRIBLE. John actually chucked his within a few months, which looked even worse than this.

So we gave these new Threadless shirts over a month to wash them half a dozen times, and they still look like new! Look how pretty:

John and I each have both designs, and love them. Great fit and super soft. (Also after we ordered ours we tweaked the Stay Puft 'bot to brighten the blue, so it won't look so gray on yours.)

I took some sleepy selfies this morning to show you how the ladies cut fits on me:

This is an XL, and it's a little loose, which I prefer. (If you own any Threadless shirts, it's the same brand t-shirt.)
And the final bit of good news: the women's fitted tee costs $17, which is pretty reasonable for on-demand printing!

The Baby 'Bot I'm wearing is by our artist friend and long-time supporter Bianca Roman-Stumpff. If it gets a good response we may try to get more artist friends to design shirts for you guys, too. Trust me when I say no one is getting rich off these (we get $2 each, which we'll split with the artists), but they're fun and if I ever see someone wearing one in the wild it'll make my whole month, so, y'know, WORTH IT.

Also I'd like to point out that Baby 'Bot looks good on almost every color:

I need one in green next. And pink. And burgundy.

Right now we only have those 3 shirt designs up, but you can expect more in the coming weeks/months as John works to convert our most popular pin designs into t-shirt form. Feel free to tell him which one you want most in the comments, so he can bump your favorites up the list.

Which brings me to my SECOND announcement: we're finally offering pin packs again!

These are 1.25 inch pins that come in packs of five, handmade with love by John & myself, then packaged in bright orange envelopes & sealed with an Epbot sticker, so they make cute gifts.

Our limited run will be THIS Friday, October 4th, at 3PM EST, and this time we're selling them right here on Epbot! These tend to sell out within a few hours, so set your alarms and watch this space.

We're still finalizing your pin choices, but here are some of the past designs you might be able to choose from:

We'll be nixing the least popular designs and adding some new ones in, so you'll have to wait 'til Friday to see the final selections.

The pin packs are still $10 each, but I don't have the exact shipping cost yet. (We're still checking.)  I'd expect to pay another $5 for S&H, though. (Sorry!)

Last thing, and one more apology, because I'm sad to say we can NOT offer international shipping this time. The postal fees have gone way up, and it's just not feasible to ask you guys to pay $15 shipping on a small pack of pins. Sorry, gang.

See some of you back here for the sale on Friday!

WAIT, I almost forgot!

My two art winners from yesterday are JCY & Laurel G! Congrats you two, and please e-mail me your mailing addresses!

  3. So exciting! I've been thinking about expanding my tee shirt collection lately, so good timing. Spock with tribbles would get my vote for the next Epbot pin-to-tee design. Thank you!

    2. I only see Epbot Classic and Staying Puft for the different kids options. Hope you can work that out to make the baby bot available for kids! =)

    1. I'm Irish and I only have an Irish and British mailing address. And I think I'm losing the British one pretty soon. Also, given what I've been charged in extra shipping for Kickstarters, I actually don't think the extra $10 is that bad, but I understand why you don't want to do it.

  10. *Kermit flail* So cool! I wish I could get one. I think the FoE design would be awesome to see "in the wild."

  12. These are great! Any chance we could get a tee with a montage? Maybe the pin designs in bubbles or the cardboard-thingy-that-goes-above-the-pins?

    1. Oh wow, you guys have a good memory! I always meant to revisit that design and polish it up to my liking, so... sure! I'll put it on my to-do list. :)

  17. I love the shirts! I only wish the baby bot was available in kids sizes, and that kid sizes had more color options (I'm guessing the colors are Threadless' availability, not your choices). I have some FoE The Next Generation geeklings who would be upset if I got a baby bot shirt and they didn't. Also another request for FoE shirts, and the Pinkie Pie 'Bot!!

  21. Oooo!

My T-shirt drawers run deep; My friends will be the first to tell you the last thing I need is another T-shirt. I, however, will be the first to tell you I do. And I now have an Epbot one ordered! =-)

  22. Pro Tip for keeping your dark shirts with decals looking spiffy longer; always ALWAYS wash AND rinse them in cold water, and either air dry them or tumble them on the lowest possible setting, NEVER expose them to heat. Cold water keeps the shirt from fading and no heat keeps the decal from softening up.

Trust an old Goth broad on this; I've got concert shirts that are 25 years old and still look nice!

  23. I just popped over to the shop - looks like there are other options, too, for stickers, home decor, etc. I wonder how many skateboards will sell!
