Friends & FOE: Store Skeletons, Rainbow Shelves, & IT HAS POCKETS!

Just some more shenanigans and creations from 5,000 of your closest FOE friends:

As a regular JoAnn's shopper, this made me snort-laugh SO HARD.

And a later update:

Bahahaha!

I feel like this one needs a zoom in:

 Clever girls.

Abigail painted the prettiest rainbow-backed bookcase:

WANT. Then I want to fill each color shelf with matching books and toys!

I love outfit shots like Marama's here:

It's fun to not only put some faces to FOE, but also see some rockin' geek styles!

Lindsay shared a great Disneybound, plus the most unfortunate ear worm to go with it:

 :D

As a fan of everyone's favorite Moose & Squirrel, this made me laugh a little too hard:

(It's a Supernatural thing. If you can handle some scares & gore, you should totally watch all 73 seasons, or whatever number they're up to now. :D)

Jay dropping some inspiration for the day:

You know how a wedding is going to be awesome? When the bride tells you she'll be wearing these shoes:

I want those shoes to wear everyday! They even look comfy!

I've seen upcycled jean projects before, but you guys, I think Heather's beach blanket is the prettiest one yet:

OoooOOOOooooo. It's all about that ombre fade, am I right? And so smart using the pockets to protect phones from sand!

Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope these made you smile! Today John and I are at Tampa Bay Comic-Con, so be sure to say hi if you see us.

Rest assured everyone here gave permission for their names & posts to be posted, so thank you, friendly FOE! You brighten up my Facebook feed, and it's fun for ME to be the lurker over there. ;)

  1. Can I just say that Denim is my favorite fabric to work with! I cannot stand to throw out bad jeans. I may have to try that blanket idea...

    1. What do you make with your leftover denim?

    2. Yes, please share any and all things you do with it. I wear out my jeans in the inner thigh at an absurd rate, and I would really love to find something useful to do with them after that.

  3. My mom is making a blanket with jeans, but adding patches for different places she has gone to it. It's going to be for her camper or bed when she gets older.

  4. LOVE that blankie!
Are you guys coming to the Con Sept 21-23 in Tampa? An online friend and rubber stamp designer, Brett Weldele is coming from the far left coast and we are hoping the stars align so we can go meet him that Friday. Would love to be able to meet you and John too.

  5. The blanket! I have some jeans that have reached life's end, but I'm reluctant to part with. If I can find the sewing machine...

I want to know what kind of backing was used, though... :D

  7. So much to love in this post! Its a good one to file for a quick dose of happiness.
I really like the galaxy skirt - the cut is so cute and any skirt with pockets is awesome (although my first thought was a Woke Jeans quote - "Pockets...pockets sold separately!"). Did Marama say if she bought it or made it?

  8. I really need to see the skeletons arranged around the Joann's fabric cutting counter. Because if you have ever stood there waiting for your number to be called - you know what it really feels like.

  9. Something I learned as a Girl Scout - "Leave it better than you found it." I still try to do this in many areas of my life. Also a good motto is "Don't be a litterbug."

  11. So glad I'm not the only one who plays with my skeletons. :D

  12. If I ever saw skeleton dinos chasing an employee in ANY store I go to, I'd make a purchase there just on general principle.

  13. That bookshelf is gorgeous! And such a clever play on the idea of a "reading rainbow"...

I love the galaxy skirt and the jean blanket, too. =-)
