Time for my monthly roundup of favorite art finds!
And since a lot of us are busy decking those halls, I've got a few festive options this round, too.
For example:
Charlie Thurston's "Wedge on the Ledge" is the Star Wars version of Elf on the Shelf you never knew you needed:

It comes with a cute little storybook and a paper Wedge you can hide around the house!
Wedge & the booklet are $15 over at Charlie's Etsy shop, but enter the promo code "epbot" for 20% off any order over $10. Be sure to check out Charlie's other art & kids' books, too! (Promo code expires Monday at midnight, so act fast.)

Bianca Roman Stumpff has some new prints I *know* you're going to love:
Book worm dragon! And lookit the teensy owl!
Here's my new favorite:
I'm actually helping Bianca put together a coloring book - just cleaning up her line art digitally - and so far, this has been my favorite to work on. I lurrrve this lil' steampunk gal.
Bianca's adorable strawberry Gryphon is being discontinued soon - a TRAGEDY - so grab it now:
Only $5 on clearance! I need to buy like a dozen.
Christie Cox's superhero snowmen are just what your stocking needs:
Like this Totoro:
Only $25 for the original watercolor! Madness! Here, go shop. [UPDATE: Christy just told me that while supplies last, every order from her shop gets a free Loki Snowman print!]
*****
I recently discovered the work of Craig Bruyn, and I'm completely besotted with his use of light and shadow:
SO GOOD.
Not to mention his adorable take on classic characters.
Craig has a bunch of these original ink drawings in his online store starting at just $50, so go see! (Then buy them all so I can't. Save me from myself!)
*****
Jason over at Red Rocket Farm just released 4 new "Weird and Upsetting Holiday Cards," and I love them:
Best part is inside:
My favorite is the penguin:
Jason also has a bunch of new "desktop allies"
I think I need this one.
Anyhoo, go see the rest of the goodies (there are SO MANY) at the Red Rocket Farm store!
*****
And finally, my best accomplishment this month: I managed to sweet-talk another artist into offering prints for you guys! Yay!
I've been harassing Dennis Hansbury for ages now, since he usually only sells originals. When John and I purchased his entire set of wood-stand Potter owls last month, though, I cranked the harassment up to 11. I knew you guys would like these!
So here are the originals, which you can't have, because MINE:
... though I generously allow John display them in his room. :D
And here are the print versions Dennis JUST made:
They're between 4 and 5 inches tall, like the originals, and look!
You cut them out and make your own stands!
How cool is this??
I love that they're small and don't need framing, so you can easily tuck them into a shelf or cubicle.
Best part? They're only $6 each, or $20 for the set! Head to Dennis' Etsy shop to pick up your favorite(s).
*****
Btw, given how much cheer leading I do during my roundups, I feel I should clarify that I do NOT get paid for anything I feature here. I show you guys what *I* love and think you'll love, period.
UPDATE: The give-away has ended!
This month's randomly selected Wild Card winner is LacyJ.
And the winner of Wedge on the Ledge is D. L. White!
Congrats, you two, and please e-mail me your mailing addresses!
