Star Wars Celebration Swag!

I made some special pins for those of you who'll be here in Orlando this weekend with me for Star Wars Celebration. Check 'em out:

 Awww yeeeeeah

I actually started putting these together for Dragon*Con, and then realized they were too perfect not to bring to SWC, too. So, come find me and John and claim one! I'll also have Epbot pins, of course, and probably a few other CW designs. Just ask. (The pins are tiny, btw - only an inch across.)

The easiest way to find me is via Twitter, so don't be shy about tweeting me for a meet up. We'll be there at the con all four days in the afternoons/evenings, and Friday I'm planning to be in costume (!!) so I should be pretty easy to spot.

Speaking of which, THE BIG REVEAL post is going up this Friday morning. Are you excited? I'm excited. Not to mention next weekend is Dragon*Con, so I'm bracing for con overload the next ten days. (I better start showering in Purell now, because I do NOT want to be sick for Dragon*Con!)

Stay tuned for plenty of photos and general shenanigans!

[UPDATE: Sorry, guys; right now the only way to score a pin is to see me in person. I'll try to do some give-aways next month, though!]

  2. I wish I was going to Celebration!! I missed it last time it was here, too, but it's just too close to D*con, and we have too many extra bills that popped up this month!! I have a few friends that are going though :)

I'll have to get a twitter account so we can find each other at D*con, we're doing the steampunk Ponies on Saturday. We managed to find a 3rd, so we've got half of them covered at least!

  3. I have found that taking emergen-c or other similar products starting now keeps me well for the cons.

  4. I really wish there were cons in my area - I'd have to drive at least 5 hours to find one.

  7. Not to sound stalkery, but I really hope I see you at Dragon*Con next week! I was in line for the big Buffy panel last year, right in the middle of all the best steampunk stuff, and my friend wasn't there to switch out with me >.<. I'm finishing up my costume and can't wait for all the geeky goodness!

  8. How do I get one of these pins if I can't be at either the Star Wars Celebration or Dragon*Con?

  11. Love those pins! Is there any way to snag one if I can't get to SWC? (300 miles doesn't lend itself to easy traveling)

  13. I wish I could be there. Both for the convention itself and to see your costume in person. Oh well. We have a con here in April. (Vancouver, BC)

  15. Those are awesomeness! :D Do you take Emergen-C or anything when you go to cons? Maybe that would help... a little... since you probably don't want to be there in a human-sized hamster ball.

(Also, a wee bit jealous. Hope you have a BLAST!)

  16. Jealous! WHY do I have to live in NY?
I would love to not only go to a Star Wars convention, but also, T3H PINZ!

  17. Oooo, considering my husband loves Darth Vader, and wants to create and run a My Little Pony D&D adventure for our daughter (when she's older, only a toddler now), these pins are PERFECT! How did you make them?

  18. I'm terrible at recognizing people, but I'll definitely look for you at Dragon*Con!

  19. Yay!! This will be my first Celebration, and I'm so excited to see you and your costume. I will definitely keep an eye on Twitter and hope not to seem too stalkery!

  20. Yesss! All your fun Con pics and posts have inspired me - I will be attending my first con at Dragon*Con (next week! Oh. Em. Gee.)! I'm usually a super shy girl, but am anticipating breaking out of my shell a bit. I hope to see you there and maybe snag a pin. And I apologize in advance for any awkward social skills I may present if I do see you!

  21. @ RB - the pin design came from a popular cake I posted on CW. John took the original photo & adjusted it in Illustrator, and then we printed 'em out & used our button machine to make them. (Well, actually I had my friend Julianne make them; she's a life-saver!)

  23. Totally wishing I could be there! MLP and Darth Vader? That's like my childhood exploded in a chemical reaction, and that was mutant that came out of it! LOL

  24. You could so sell those! I love them. Thought they were cookies at first and was completely in awe but buttons are sweet!

  25. Easy to spot eh?? lol, that's a lot of folks to look though. I dont tweet, but might have to start. Finding you guys at Dragon*Con is on my list. Even tried to get a tshirt made "Have you seen the Yates?". If I only knew ahead of time how long of lead you needed for custom shirts! (And, because I know you're thinking it - I dont do iron on. I'm a tshirt snob, screen print all the way!)Should be good times, hope to catch you and snag a pin!

  26. Ooooh, LOVE the pins! I hope we can find you at SWC, sans Twitter.... We can't make it Friday, so I look forward to your Lady Vadore post reveal! Hope to see you on Saturday or Sunday though! :) So excited for our first Con!!

  27. I can not WAIT for the big reveal! If it is what I think it is, I hope you are ready for YOU being in lots of those photos. And I'm trolling my buddies sites and Facebook to find them!

  28. I wish they'd bring the Star Wars Celebration to Disneyland. I feel like we get left out of a lot of cool things WDW has..

  29. It was great meeting you at CVI, Jen, and thanks for the pin! My little brother thanks you, too. :)
