If you wait until fall (not sure what that means in Florida), you can try pansies (annuals) until early spring to plant perennials. The list from Carly M is a great start when you don't want to do a lot of babying and deadheading. Milkweed is fantastic because it feeds the butterflies and provides nurseries for the caterpillars.
Southern Fried Pugshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02690807430103140696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724594058209899258.post-22053794313711520372014-07-25T08:42:06.484-04:002014-07-25T08:42:06.484-04:00I love it! Then I was wondering why we didn't do it sooner! I agree with prior commenters that rock would look great. And-no maintenance! You could put downa dark rock, then offset it with some copper glass discs like are used in vases. Then it would be a little sparkly, too. :)
lucinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724594058209899258.post-20886106520641724062014-07-25T00:06:22.747-04:002014-07-25T00:06:22.747-04:00I would forgo the plants for the time being, and d...I would forgo the plants for the time being, and dump a bag of pretty pebbles or river rock at the base of the post.
