(Works great if you have 2 people on it: one rolls, and the other follows with the brush to hit any spots the roller misses.)

It's not too hard to keep everything square provided you START perfectly square; the occasional wonky edge really just leaves a slightly larger gap on half of one side, but still butts up everywhere else. Once you get started, you'll see what I mean: it's not too bad. Just means you have to fill those gaps in with extra caulking afterward. :)

Hope that helps! And good luck with it!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11888187687405622408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724594058209899258.post-28148206589736496992013-11-26T06:52:01.075-05:002013-11-26T06:52:01.075-05:00last comment i promise: i just went to the main p...last comment i promise: i just went to the main page of your blog and realize now that you're the jen from CakeWrecks, ha! i had no idea. that's one of my favorite blogs! :)Jamie Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07428295871859056286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724594058209899258.post-3458742732098872592013-11-26T05:16:43.104-05:002013-11-26T05:16:43.104-05:00oooh one (ok maybe 2!) quick question(s): what did...oooh one (ok maybe 2!) quick question(s): what did you use to paint them, since they're textured? brush, roller, etc.? and since they're not completely square, how do you stay "square" when putting them up? i don't know if that makes sense - what i mean is, if one edge is wonky and you go up against another edge that is straight, wouldn't that throw off the straightness of the whole pattern? so how would you make sure they are all straight? i hope that makes sense! :)Jamie Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07428295871859056286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724594058209899258.post-49571470577643544942013-11-26T05:07:27.269-05:002013-11-26T05:07:27.269-05:00it was said before, but... mind = blown. i have f...it was said before, but... mind = blown. i have for the past year been redoing my entire living room and i'm pretty much done, however my ceiling is *literally* falling down. as in, the paint job is so old that it's flaking and peeling and falling down in random pieces. it. looks. AWFUL. i've been trying to figure out what to do besides the long, arduous, messy job of scraping the ceiling and repainting it. i thought briefly about those plastic tin-look tiles you can get at like HD and lowe's, but they're hella expensive. roughly the same size as these at literally 10x the price. you have SERIOUSLY just saved my sanity and completed my living room all in one post. i wish i'd found this a long time ago. now it's just a question of choosing one! so many choices! thanks SO VERY VERY much for posting this, i found you originally through a pinterest photo of your master bedroom redo (that linked through a different site) and i am gonna pin this page so i don't forget where this amazing idea came from!! yayyyy!!! :)

oh PS LOVE LOVE LOVE the ones in your office, soooo funky and fun!!!! the others look gorgeous as well, great job and kudos to you and the hubs!! :)Jamie Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07428295871859056286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724594058209899258.post-40590594528037713482013-11-18T07:41:57.578-05:002013-11-18T07:41:57.578-05:00This post makes me wish I wasn't living in an ...This post makes me wish I wasn't living in an apartment. We have an awful texture on our ceilings. Its not popcorn, its like they loaded their trowel with sheetrock mud and pressed it on the ceiling and then pulled it off and left the effect. I HATE it. I've wanted to cover it up for years but most options were too expensive. This isn't. I just ordered some for my first room. Since I'm redoing my kiddo's room, his will get the first cool ceiling.
