The concern I'd have with squeezing the silicone directly from the tube onto your piece is that it's thick & ropey, so it wouldn't conform to the shape of your piece the way a liquid silicone would. Very cheap and clever.<br />I can see the issue with fine detail, since the homemade mold material is sort of doughy -- easy to trap pockets of air or little bubbles. The more liquid molding material (about the consistency of corn syrup), poured on very slowly and from several inches above the surface, produces very good detail results. Just takes extra $$. We need to find some chemical engineers to produce that from moth balls and Dr Pepper.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02097043281058135970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724594058209899258.post-8297736155599934562018-03-30T16:33:22.691-04:002018-03-30T16:33:22.691-04:00I wasn't able to watch the video yet, but do y...I wasn't able to watch the video yet, but do you have to put any type of release agent on the piece before you push it into the silicone?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724594058209899258.post-4192755571197342002018-03-30T11:31:36.767-04:002018-03-30T11:31:36.767-04:00Another great video!
